I am a passionate student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University studying Airline and Airport Management. Combined with my previous airline experience, I aim to analyze data and facilitate projects that benifit airlines and the industry.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University | 2022 - 2025
Focusing on Airline and Airport Management, I study Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Airline Economics, and Airline Operations, aligning my studies with my interest in Airline Operations. I am a member of the Aviation Business Networking Club and our school branch of the American Association of Airport Executives.
Canyon Crest Academy | 2018 - 2022
During my time in High School, I focused on Business and Computer Science. In addition, I created/ran several clubs, including Minecraft Club which hosted an unofficial graduation for students during the pandemic, a beach cleaning club, and an aviation club.
Microsoft Excel Certificate | 2024
In addition to my practical experience performing data analysis in Excel using Visual Basic and the Data Analysis ToolPak, I am certified in Excel.
American Airlines | Summer 2024
As an American Airlines summer intern, I worked to optimize the PHX airport operation, utilizing data analysis to understand and suggest changes to the special service operation. In addition, I managed a company-wide project to reduce the need for mandatory overtime across all the airports. In my 12 weeks, I built on my knowledge of the industry and had the opportunity to work with various departments and operations across the company.
Pavilions Grocery Store | Summer 2023
I worked to resolve customer service issues, ensuring that the store was clean and that the customers were the highest priority. I bagged groceries, swept floors, cleaned up carts, shelved groceries, and assisted customers.
Chief Operating Officer | 2021 - 2023
I founded this 501(c)(3) non-profit in high school with my friend, focused on educating local students about their local environment by connecting university professors with students through free webinars. I setup the organization, drafted documents, and ran the day-to-day operation.
I have an exceptional understanding of airline operations compared to other college students, thanks to my tailored education in airline management, paired with my practical airline management experience. I am familiar with airline operations at the airport level, as well as various aspects of airline management. In addition, I am familiar with most of the terms, abbreviations, Acronyms, and concepts used in the industry.
I have experience working with large datasets to help contractors, employees, managers, and executives understand aspects of their operations, including coming up with solutions to their issues. I have primarily used Excel and Visual Basic for data analysis, though I am skilled with Tableau and Power BI, and have worked in SQL. My analysis has been used for large-scale decision-making at American Airlines.
I have extensive experience in customer service, starting when I was 13 years old and began volunteering at my local library. I worked my way up to leading two children's programs, getting experience in leading a room full of children in creative projects, taking in feedback from parents, training new volunteers, and coming up with new ideas. In my role at Pavilions Grocery Store, I continued to hone my skills, ensuring that customer satisfaction was paramount, even during a tropical storm.
I have managed various projects, including a major project to reduce mandatory overtime at American Airlines in which I worked to define the scope with managers, did extensive research with various divisions and airport divisions, created new process flows, and presented my findings to senior executives.
I have built leadership skills in all the various positions I have worked in. Even when working as a Courtesy Clerk at a grocery store, I was a representative of the company and worked to ensure I demonstrated professionalism and pride in my work. Even in my non-professional life, I work to bring together people in the communities I am involved with to develop fun projects.
